 There are many reasons that Life Gets Better triumphs as the latest Hermit's Music release, most obviously in its seamless transitions from style to style – cohesively parading folk, country, blues, jazz and retro-pop - but while keeping the mood light and often fun, celebrating the joys of life and love, it also presents gentle reminders of important human issues to consider, yet never overcooking them.  All in all, a lovely collection of songs that succeed on the levels I’m sure all concerned fully intended them to.
